what AM I UP TO NOW?
I’m currently a UX/UI Designer at USAA focusing on internal employee experiences.
I’ve worked with startups, agencies and large enterprise firms to create end-to-end experiences that solve human problems while balancing business needs.
I focus on UX/UI Design, Product Design and Interaction Design.
my mission
My mission is to empower people by transforming human experiences through design and technology.
my background
I use my learnings from psychological studies & DATA.
I enjoy interacting with people and using my psychology background to understand their motivations, behaviors and thinking. I use that background to listen to users, and to discover their pain points and needs. These discoveries enable me to be the user advocate throughout the design process.
I bring diverse perspectives into the conversation.
My diverse professional background in retail, account management, and social media marketing provides a unique perspective when I design. I apply that perspective when collaborating with different stakeholders from different backgrounds during design workshops and conversations. I work with clients across industries including IT, retail, finance, SaaS platforms and automotive.
I VALUE COLLABORATION AND TRANSPARENCY.
I value an inclusive collaborative team environment. I strongly believe in working together as a team to build the best possible solution by being open to new ideas, challenging each other to think big and allowing for opportunities to learn from each other (no matter your tenure or background).
i love forward thinking.
I am fascinated with the future of the digital world including wearables, virtual reality, Internet of Things, gamification, augmented reality, artificial intelligence and conversational UX.
i enjoy bringing humanity into technology.
My passion to help people and to intersect technology, psychology and creativity fuels me to create experiences and meaningful interactions that make an impact.
what others have to say about me
“I have had the pleasure of working with Rachelle on a few projects. Her professional demeanor and design skills helped to make the projects more enjoyable to work on. Rachelle delivered what she promised regarding our design comps and on time. She has the ability to capture the project requirements and turn them into awesome designs by asking the right questions and understanding our member’s needs. Rachelle would truly be an asset to any team she finds herself on.”
“Dedicated to her craft, accountable and reliable, and down right fun to work with, Rachelle has proven that her passion for UX runs deep. She has demonstrated an excellent collaborative problem solving approach working closely with stakeholders and cross-discipline teams to execute great design. When called upon, she has an ability to be completely autonomous, taking on new responsibilities and tasks with ease. I had the pleasure of hiring and mentoring Rachelle at MRM, where we worked closely together on digital experience work for General Motors’ online brands. Her detailed approach enabled our work to be well researched, clear, concise, tested and delivered on time, every time.
What impressed me most about Rachelle was her ability to take on challenging design problems with zero intimidation when tackling something completely new.
Lastly, Rachelle worked hard to ensure that our team culture thrived as much as our ability to design elegant experiences. Initiating team sharing activities to inform and gather feedback, as well as team outings that brought us closer together, she will be a valuable asset to any organization.”
“Rachelle and I worked together for 8 months on future e-commerce initiatives at MRM and I can’t say enough good things about her. She was the type of person that you want in the trenches with you. Rachelle often asked to take on specific parts of the project and asked for feedback along the way to ensure we were aligned. Research played a significant part in our design process and she made a point to go through the material before we started. More often than not she always had a smile on her face. This is someone who is going to be a positive force wherever she goes.”
“It didn’t take long for me to see that Rachelle is smart, driven, and destined for great things.
I was lucky to work with her on a project, and was immediately impressed by her professionalism and leadership. She hit the ground running, providing our team with high quality research learnings within hours of the project kickoff. Her work ethic was an inspiration to us all, and her problem-solving skills were a huge asset to our finished product.
Even with deadlines looming, Rachelle kept her cool and continued providing top-notch research and deliverables that kept our project right on track. Her collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn new skills made working with her a pure joy.
Rachelle has my highest recommendation, and I would jump at the chance to work with her again in the future. Hire her! You’d be extremely fortunate to have her on your team!”
“I had the good fortune to be able to work on a small project with Rachelle in early 2017, and I can recommend her without hesitation and wholeheartedly. Rachelle’s work as a whole is impeccable. She is multitalented. But specifically, she is a precision thinker in generative research and early data analysis. Her skill set here is invaluable in setting the table for user experience designs that are data-driven and interaction design that is meaningful because it’s no longer arbitrary. Her ability to synthesize her findings with our UI teammates was impressive. In other words, she collaborates like a champ.
She’s an impressive force in UX design, and if you’re lucky enough to be able to have a chance to work with her, jump. I would definitely welcome her on any team I was a part of again without hesitation. You won’t be disappointed.”
